A Further thought on this... Holding Origens ideas, What could be worse? well, what could have been worse was that Hittler actually one. The amount that was risked, and the amount of luck that was on our side, the amount of people that came together to fight a common enemy. If the level of apathy had been so great that Hittler had one.

That would have been much worse.

Thanks BX! I found that quite inspiring, and filled me with respect for you and the journey you're walking. Lots of what you said was applicable to someone of any faith, and it helped me a lot today - this week has not gone well for me.

As far as feedback goes, every word you spoke was clear and unhurried, perfectly understandable. It wasn't too long or too short - the only possible negative I would say is maybe you pause slightly too long. And right at the beginning, I think the invocation was slightly too fast, but I'm guessing that's a rote thing you say every week? Overall, very good. My thanks again!

Good Points, Well Made.

I was taking Jesus as the Son of God as a Given. It's one of those I don't have a problem.

Heya,

Thought I'd mention, you forgot one basic premise of your belief: Jesus is actually God's Son, and is also part of God Himself. Given that you are a christian, this may be considered a "given", but it is something you should list. Other options would be a prophet, or wise man, or someone otherwise gifted with knowledge (I forget the word exactly, one in Eastern philosophy where one has re-incarnated lots, learned all the lessons you had to learn, and come back to help others do the same instead of moving on. Something like Bodhivista)

This would lead to the whole redemption because of Jesus' death - if you do not believe one, ytou cannot the other, so it should be listed.

Maybe Jesus' death wasn't so much a *redemption* for all mankind, but a lesson for them - we had to be taught that there were consequences for our actions, tht we needed to take responsibility, and as we had monumentally failed in all previous lessons, maybe God thought that by sacrificing His only Son he could teach us that there is an ultimate price to pay for folly, and we need to choose our actions carefully, as we know that no-one will be spared a bad choice?

Just an option! hope you're doing ok!
